Cartoon of a sad Santa. Hey, he can’t possibly NOT have off days, right? This is a cartoon that shows Santa in a deep state of depression. Booze and smokes at hand. However, all the kid wants is to be happy. Santa realizes the sham, his folly.
I’m thinking that if you’re dressing as Santa each year to supplement your income, you’re probably teetering on depression anyway. You’re old, fat, wearing funny clothes. You listen to child gibberish and bad music all day long for several weeks a year. Yeah, not a dream job by any stretch. I wonder if there have been any Santa Claus mental health studies done.
