If Mondays Were Shoes, We’d All Be Walking Funny
If Mondays were shoes, nobody would choose them willingly. The week would start with a sigh, a shuffle, and the strange feeling that something uncomfortable has already attached itself to your life. As a result, people everywhere would wake up tired before doing anything at all.
Meanwhile, coffee tries to soften the blow while reality laces up tight. Although the weekend just ended, Monday shows up loud and demanding. Clearly, if Mondays were shoes, comfort would not be part of the design.

Morning Starts With Emotional Foot Pain
Monday mornings feel awkward from the first step. Instead of ease, the day begins with pressure in all the wrong places. For example, emails pile up while motivation stays missing.
Because of that, everything feels heavier than it should. At the same time, clocks move slowly and tasks feel louder. Eventually, the body adjusts, but the spirit limps along behind it.
If Mondays Were Shoes, They’d Never Be Broken In
If Mondays were shoes, they would never soften with time. Each step would feel just as wrong as the first. Consequently, even small movements would require effort.
Although people try to adapt, Monday refuses to meet them halfway. In addition, the day offers no flexibility and no support. Somehow, it expects full speed while delivering none.

Coffee Is the Only Cushion We Get
Coffee arrives like a temporary insole. At first, it helps just enough to stand upright. However, the effect fades quickly.
As a result, refills become emotional support. Meanwhile, mugs empty faster than optimism returns. Eventually, people accept that caffeine cannot fix everything, but they drink it anyway.
If Mondays Were Shoes, You’d Trip by Noon
If Mondays were shoes, balance would be optional. By noon, exhaustion would kick in without warning. Therefore, even simple tasks would feel dramatic.
Because of this, patience disappears early. In the same way, humor becomes a survival tool. Soon, people laugh just to stay upright.
Everyone Secretly Takes Them Off Mentally
By afternoon, resistance fades. Instead of fighting Monday, people mentally remove it. In other words, they go through the motions while dreaming of relief.
Eventually, the day loosens its grip. At that point, hope returns quietly. Somehow, surviving Monday feels like an achievement.
Final Thoughts From a Pair We All Hate Wearing
Monday is not evil. Still, it is uncomfortable by design. Although nobody asked for it, everyone wears it anyway.
In fact, sharing the misery makes it lighter. After all, laughter cushions the impact. And once Monday ends, the rest of the week feels easier by comparison.
