Expensive Date with Gas Prices

With gas prices being what they are, that can add to an expensive date, so when she wants to go somewhere expensive, just go to the gas station!

Gone are the days when the romantic question was, “Want to go for a drive?” Nowadays, with gasoline prices soaring higher than my hopes of becoming an astronaut, that question sounds more like, “Do you want to invest in our future together?” Forget expensive dinners and fancy getaways; the true mark of dedication is filling up that tank for a scenic drive. I tried being sentimental the other day, telling my date I had a surprise. Drove her straight to the gas station and filled up. She said, “Is this the surprise?” I replied, “Honey, this is an expensive date in this economy, trust me, this is as grand a gesture as a diamond ring.” Safe to say, our next date might just be a walk in the park. Literally.
